Mohawk Regional Tutorial Program

This program is provided to assist school districts in meeting the needs of eligible migrant children.  Children qualify for the program because of their family's movement across school district lines during the past 36 months to seek or obtain agricultural employment.  Services include academic support in reading and other areas according to need; HEP ( a residential High School Equivalency Program); parenting and preschool education for families with young children; family literacy for those families who wish to improve their literacy skills; a 6 week home-based summer program; PASS, an individualizied study program for those who have failed or need to make up a course; advocacy services; a state and local Parent Advisory Council; home visits; payment help for health services; and a census of eligible migrant families.  This Tutorial Outreach Program serves over 120 school districts in Central and Eastern New York and is Federally supported.

For Students at least 18 years of age and out of school.
Individual and small group instruction in grammar, math, reading, science, social studies and writing.
Program is on-going and you may begin at anytime during the year.
Monday-Friday 8:30am - 3:00pm
Monday & Wednesday 3:00pm - 6:00pm
Tuesday & Thursday 6:00pm - 9:00pm

This is another way to earn a local High School Diploma.
Program is designed for adults over 21 who have gaines skills from: living, working, raising families, managing time and money; and for adults who want to take responsibility for their own learning.
You work at home and return to the Center with completed tasks, then work individually with one of the teachers.
